I don’t understand if that answered my question. Will it delete any of the original files?

Sadly, this one will only be costing ME money.
This method would be pretty slick IF there was a faster way to lock the spot or to swap the audio on the entire original clips.

Well, Replace edit doesn’t seem to do what I want as it doesn’t match start/end points. What I want to do is replace the cam-audio clip with the merged clip, which still includes the same clip.

Tried it out, and manually going there, it’s just not there. I did a recovery (using some $100 program, grrr.) and found one of the six, but with a different name (like totally different) – qt005601.mov (along those lines, not exactly right).
So I’m stumped. I just know I haven’t deleted anything, so unless the program performed a deletion or changed the filename, I don’t know what to do, and I can’t recapture the footage anytime soon, either.
Any other pointers/ideas?

I have more than one as the project spans multiple HD’s. Search won’t look in those folders?
