My Vegas 6 also worked with Windows 7 64 bit, but although it appeared to work at first with editing, etc. I eventually had problems burning audio projects directly to CD.

So I waved the white flag and ended up buying the newer 10 version and I’m glad I did, since I saw a huge performance increase (comes with both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Vegas 10). The interface is also more streamlined. And it was totally worth it for only $139.99 (-$100 due to promotion).

I am running Vegas 6.0c (I know it’s a bit older, but I don’t see the need to upgrade since it does everything I need it to do)… Any ideas if this will run on Windows 7? I’m also eying Windows XP 64 bit. I have an AMD 64 bit Phenom quad core processor and I wanted a bit more speed during rendering and such.

Any ideas which would suit my needs. I’m not looking to break the bank.

    Thanks!

  • I doubt it’s a cross platform thing. As I said it works when imported in Sony’s Vegas Pro which is on a PC.

I tried shift selecting all of the image files, as well as selecting the directory, but that still does not work.

Exporting as an uncompressed AVI or MOV file is not an option, since we receive the targa sequence from a third party vendor. The reason we want to import the targa file sequence in the first place is to render out MOV files on our own.

It must be a bug in the Adobe Premiere elements software (go figure since it’s being exported in Adobe AfterEffects). I just find it strange that the Sony Vegas opens it just fine.

Any thoughts on what else I can try?

    Thanks!
