    Hi,

Although only last week we released GripTools V3, we have again important news.

Earlier this year we have released the iXplorer Xtension, a powerful real-time animation tool for the iPhone.
Until now, it was exclusively available for Mac OS.

I am now very happy to introduce the iXplorer for C4D on the Windows platform.

We invite you to visit the website for all info, videos, manuals and a free V3 demo with ALL our Xtensions.

    Thanks,

    Update:

Camera GripTools – MIDI – now for Windows & Mac.

Camera GripTools MIDI enables you to use a wealth of MIDI hardware with Maxon CINEMA 4D. Applying the “Camera GripTools concept”, this plugin offers all functionality and control modes as the other versions of GripTools.

Using MIDI hardware in CINEMA 4D opens a whole new world of possibilities… You can capture animations in realtime, using MIDI devices having faders, rotary encoders, buttons and more. You can choose from a wide range of MIDI hardware manufacturers, like JLCooper, Behringer, M-Audio, etc. etc.

Camera GripTools MIDI is the only plugin supporting MIDI hardware for CINEMA 4D on your Mac!

Update: Camera GripTools Basic now available for both Windows & Mac OSX

We’d like to inform you that we have the new plugin available: Camera GripTools Basic.
It’s a light but powerful version of the regular Camera GripTools.

    Features:

    – Controls Cinema 4D with live input device motion. Not just cameras, but any object can be controlled.
    – Simulates different control modes; Tripod, Dolly, Crane, Car, Plane, Helicopter, Flying platform and Handheld.
    – It supports regular game controllers like joysticks, gamepads and steering wheels.
    – Customizable device axes assignments.
    – Control the Cinema 4D Editor camera with your input device: a powerful tool during modeling or working on a scene.
    – Supports Cinema 4D R11 on both Windows and Mac.

This ‘Basic’ version also has a significantly lower price.

Update: We need betatesters for Mac!

Until now, the Camera GripTools plugin for CINEMA 4D was only compatible with Windows. However, seeing a high demand for our plugin from Mac users, we’re developing a new version of our plugin for Mac OS X.

Development is now entering testing phase. We need to test the plugin on various Mac computers, various OS X versions and a wide range of game controllers. We will carefully select a group of potential testers with advanced expertise.

In other words: we need you!
Are you a Mac user? Are you interested in testing the Camera GripTools plugin for Cinema 4D, and willing to give some feedback? Then click here and choose ‘Participate in GripTools for Mac beta testing’.

Sorry, in my question where i wrote:

No i did some tests, squeezing a 1024×576 bitmap to 720×576 works fine, but i would rather deliver 1024×720 and let the avid do the squeezing.

    you should read:

Now i did some tests, squeezing a 1024×576 bitmap to 720×576 and it works fine, but i would rather deliver 1024×576 and let the avid do the squeezing.

Photoshop does it with it’s nonsquare pixel simulation, but when you save it as a bitmap it are indeed 720 pixels So data is lost anyway.
When you think about it: this way digital 16:9 is such a waste of pixels. Optical anamorphing is different.

Anyway, there must be someone who knows how to do this ?
