Hi,
I am not the product manager for the HPX3000, so am not really sure about whether this lens is in the list. If it is, the following trick might do the job.:

– The CAC function will not be activated
after power ON until the position of
Zoom and Focus move from one end
to the other. Once Zoom and Focus move from
end to end, the lens can recognize
its own position and start
CAC communication with the camera.

The lens should have CAC command capability to enable CAC function.
If the end of 8 digits serial # is “Q” and after (Q,R,S.T …), it is CAC lens.

Send an email to pbtscservice.com and describe your problem. They will email back with the service location for you to send it to. There is a fix for this and it is not related to the card at all. It is a warranty repair.

If you go to the http://www.panasonic.com, look under the Support link, click through to the find a servicer, you shoul be able to find someone local to you. Have no idea on what it might cost but the servicer should.

The biggest difference will be where the warranty is located. Keep in mind there is an extended warranty that you should register for and that means for 5 years if you want to take advantage of that it needs to go to the country of origin for that service. My recommendation is to work with your local retailer and make your best deal. This will get you the best long range support. You never know how impotant that is until you need it.

I would agree with Noah on this one, but I can point to some web footage that was shot with the HDX900 camera from a helicopter. https://www.cbs.com/specials/911/video.php?v=2&p=1.

Obviously it is not the DVCPROHD codec files but it looks pretty good.

Hi,

The entire Contents folder should be moved as one big folder and the sum of its parts should remain within the subfolders. Do not change any of it. Programs that can take advantage of these proxies will be able to read them where they are and not where you may choose to relocate. Just leave the entire directory as it is and transfer the folder as it was created.

How Sony does it? Well look inside the machines and compare it to the more expensive machine. This is not Panasonic style. When they can make a cheap tape drive machine it will look just like the expensive ones on the inside. Its the only way to get the long term performance out of the machine.
We just do things differently than the other guys.
