As far as the bbeping with larger cards, that is not the issue. It seems more focused to the combination of camera and peripherals paired with the input.

Contact pbtscservice.com and explain your issues, don’t forget where you are located and the serial number of your unit. They will give you the next step in resolving the issue. It seems to happen with certain mic/input device combos. But just contact them and they can fix it for you.

Hi John,
The AJ-HPX3700 will do 1080/60i(59.97), doesn’t do 60P, but most definitely does 60i.

YOu should have your friend call the Panasonic Service Center on Cahuenga Blvd in Las Angeles. The only number I have is 323-436-3500, but that is a main switchboard number and requires you to choose through a menu. But they should call over there and talk to the service manager and tell them what is going on. They might even call the service center you chose and thell them it is a warranty repair.

I would have taken it to Panasonic as they would be the folks that would likely fix it under a warranty repair. I don’t know the folks at the video clinic and don’t know that they are even authorized to work on the HVX. I would pick it up and take it ot Panaosnic.

Hi,
This is a version of the HVX200A for some other country. This means that if you were a US buyer, it would not have the P2 Card, nor the HVX-Book by Barry Green nor a US Warranty. I do not reccall which country has this number, but keep in mind when the price is too good to be true, it generally is.

Normally I do not like to jump in on another manufacturer’s forum but in this case I need to make a small correction. The CCD used in the 500 is not the SDX CCD, if it were the camera would only have 520,000 pixels to work with and would not be able to do 60P. The 500 starts with a 620,000 pixel progressive imager, applies a spatial offset giving it an effective 1.1 million pixel image performance.
