My hpx2000 records proxy video fine on a 128MB SD card, but the larger 4GB (labeled SDHC and approved by the manual) isn’t recognized by any computer after it is formatted in the camera. Anybody else with this issue?

After a bit more research, I found that the SD cards and SDHC, which are physically the same, but are two different protocols that are not interchangeable. Thus, a SDHC card will fit into a SD card device, like a reader, but will not be recognized by the computer. Apparently, you must use an SDHC reader.

Panasonic, one of the developers of the SD and SDHC spec., supports SDHC in the HPX2000.

Now I will be purchasing an SDHC card reader in order to use 4MB cards.

I hope this helps somebody else.

    Hi,

You could try the following link, some of our guys tried it and it worked, but they were on PCs.

Thanks Jan, but we’re almost exclusively Macs here. I ordered an SDHC card reader, so when it comes in I’ll see if that makes a difference and post an update.
