Thank you for your response. I was able to contact my IT guy who figured out that the terminal services were disabled. Enabling them fixed the problem. He was rather confused why Vegas would be connected to that since it’s purpose has something to do with remote desktop.
My initial problem still exists with my main computer however. I would really like to see Vegas launch on it. The specs for that computer are as follows
Tyan i5000XT MB
Two Xeon 5130 duo core processors
Windows XP Pro service pack 2
4 1 gig sticks of ram (of course only 3 are recognized)
Nvidia Quadro FX1500 video card
SATA Pioneer DVD burner
Seagate SATA system hard drive and secondary drive
M-Audio Revolution sound card
3 port 1394 card
Matrox RT.X2 card and 3.0 Matrox Tools software
Adobe CS3 Production Studio Premium
In the end I’ll probably have to accept the fact Vegas isn’t going to run on my most powerful machine. I may end up just abandoning Sony all together.
