I believe Motion will reference the original footage, thus bypassing the colour correction you did in FCP.
When you send your Motion project back to FCP, the colour correction should re-appear.
If you really need to see the colour correction in Motion, you should export your video from FCP with the colour correction, and bring that in to Motion.

Is it possible to try a couple of different block sizes?
That would sort out whether that was the issue pretty easily…
