  • Colour correction loss when exported to motion?

Posted by Jessica Chapman on May 12, 2010 at 10:20 pm

    Hi there!

I edited some footage in final cut pro, but when I choose the option ‘Send to Motion Project’, importing my selected footage into Motion, all the colour correction was gone. Is there a way to bring the corrected colour from final cut into Motion?

Any help is very much appreciate! 😀

I believe Motion will reference the original footage, thus bypassing the colour correction you did in FCP.

When you send your Motion project back to FCP, the colour correction should re-appear.

If you really need to see the colour correction in Motion, you should export your video from FCP with the colour correction, and bring that in to Motion.
