That’s because your JVC is actually shooting at 59.94 fps but is using a 2:3 pull down to achieve the look.
We do the same thing with our 250’s but leave the frame rate capture at 59.94 and all works well.

Firewire 800 and you are correct. It works like any other hard drive.

Too me, paying the 265 is worth the drive alone. I can’t comment on the new codec but the drive is worth it.
