Yes, I was hoping to capture DVC Pro 50 via firewire from a Panasonic AJ-SD93 deck to a new iMac (20-inch: 2.66GHz) in the Final Cut Express app.
I’m guessing from your statement this will not work in Express, but hopefully will work if I get FCut Studio for this iMac and digitize with the offline NTSc easy setup?

The ultimate idea is to use this as a producer’s workstation for reviewing multiple lo-res clips and do basic timeline edits….

Thanks, guys. The master is 4:3, so I guess I’ll set the Kona LH Control Panel to Downconversion – Crop and keep the client monitor on overscan?
Any other considerations or am I good to go?
