Thanks so much for everyones help, and the avi vidoes i’m trying to edit are game recorded, from a kaiser baas series 8 game recorder, does that mean anything?

Sorry, So i’m a bit new to all of this, i’ve tried coverting the avi files into mpeg and they work just fine, the only problem is that the footage takes an hour or so to convert over to mpeg.

And i clicked to go to the codec on mediainfo and it took me to a videolan website, I don’t really know how else to explain it, and with vp12, I researched it and it’s some form of computer chip?
