    Cheers John, I shall look at both of these suggestions. I did roll back my Quicktime once to accommodate a problem I had before that resulted in only sound being recorded but I did not roll back to the Quicktime you recommend.

    Hi George. I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT card which is older than yours, I think. I could not find a copy of Quicktime 7.76.80.95 but tried installing 7.79.80.95 but I still have had no luck. An SFL file is created but that is it.

    Thank you for your replies.

    I have looked for the tmp file but could not find it. I renamed the file for my render but it still did not work. I also tried to render to a clean folder. I also rebooted and installed a later version of Quicktime but still had no joy (I could not find the Quicktime version suggested).
