Thanks for the help. I still am unable to get this to work. I used media encoder cs4, loaded in an ae project and encoded a flv file with an alpha, imported into flash with the same results.

    thanks

yes, i have just finished a test in flash. still no alpha channel. when i inport into flash i import video with an external player no skin. place a solid bg (differnt color from ae render).

i changed the mask in ae from lumin to alpha thinking that was the issue but still no luck.

does anyone know of a tutorial on this topic. i know i am missing somthing, just too new to ae, flash and dreamweaver to figure it out.

    thanks

i have just rendered as straight not premultiplied. I am new to this software. under main options i only see color – straight unmatted. is this what you mean by render straight?

    thanks

yes, i have the output set to 32 bit, using the on2 vp6, encode alpha, vbr two pass, key frame set to 15.

In ae, the mask file is on top of the logo, the logo is the parent, and the mask is set to luma. The mask works in ae, i can change the bg. ect. The flash file when imported into either primere or flash does not have an alpha.

    thank you for the responses.
