  • I’m wanting to achieve much the same thing, but with a slight difference…

The first track on the video plays, at the end of the track, instead of returning to the menu, the action directs the player to cue to the next track and pause, waiting for the operator to press play to start that second track… and so on.

I’m going to do some experimenting with Encore, but thought I ask the question too in case someone can give some more instant feedback.

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Thanks Walter – I’ll take a look when I get some time… it’s a promising lead at least…

Sorry – I should have been clearer… the After Effects software is indeed version 8.0.2 but also known as CS3.

The OS was upgraded to Snow Leopard at the start of the year. The version is 10.6.8

Waveforms have been visible until now. Hence the mystery. Admittedly, I hadn’t used DV footage imported from FCP for sometime, so perhaps this problem’s been around longer.

The machine is an Intel Mac Pro G5…

Somewhere else I read of another guy having the same problem – in a post dated something like 14th August 2011, but no one had responded to his issue…

Thanks for the response so far…

Have just spent two hours scratching my head about the same thing.

I am unsure if the solution is permanent but if it helps or provides a clue for someone else, then all well and good.

In my canvas options list I made sure the following were ticked.

    Image
    Show Overlays
    Show Title Safe
    RGB
    Black

It was when I changed from Black to White the scrubbing problem fixed itself. I returned the selection back to Black and all seems OK – for now.

I don’t know really what I’ve done to sort this out (or why I have had to do so – apart from the fact I have just installed a new video deck) but if it helps someone else, then my job is done.

    This is on a G5 using FCP5.

    Good luck.
