Not coming from traditional old editing environment or Avid background I find using the mouse much more intuitive but the shoulder issue for me is a problem
I am told using a tablet eases the shoulder problems somewhat due to the arm being in a more natural position.
What slightly puzzles me about this article is when I click on the clips in the Event Browser it tells me the Media has been optimised, whereas on Import I merely selected Proxy files as a workflow test. The original Media is AVCHD but FCPX seems to think it has Optimised it anyway…against my wishes I may add..
I’ve always instinctively done all his in the precision editor…but I am the only person I met to use the Trim Edit feature in 7 – but what was the Insane Oversight you mentioned please?
Well I am obviously missing something. I park the playhead in the timeline, hit shift F and it takes me to the precise frame within the range selection from the clip that I have identified in the timeline.
