I keep forgtting about adjustment layers.
In this instance it would have to be just places above all the B Roll cuts.
Did I forget to mention I cut it in Multicam mode?

Congratulations on the Ashes. Not much of a contest. More of a Roman “Christians and Lions” kind of affair. Entertaining in a more sadistic kind of way.

Well that really is an eye opener to me I must say.
I have not used multi cam much and certainly not road tested it in bad weather but that’s sounds an absolute nightmare.
I can see it’s much easier to break things down song by song once it’s all synched rather than after.
For my purposes with Theatre work it’s out of the question because each act is at least 45 minutes.

Ahhh answers my question I did not know this.
Which means for Live Events/concerts/conferences/theatre are you telling me FCPX just doesn’t not have the nuts to handle these long takes?
If so I am glad I found out now rather than the week after next because I was rather banking on it.

Out of interest why not synch within FCPX. I have found it to be simpler and less hassle than the old Pluralise workflow days with 7.

You are referring to the JKL keys?
I sort of work the same way only instead of remapping the keys I moved the keyboard!

I think that’s one of the BIG things perhaps.
For me the mouse has always been a rather nice direct link to the interface. But if you have learnt to be able to do almost everything from the keyboard I guess that could be a cause of some frustration.
Correct me if I’m wrong but you can’t select from the “source” window in Avid and drag a a clip into the timeline with the mouse? Maybe I was doing something wrong but I found that immensely frustrating when I was playing with the free trial.
Even in X I occasionally dump something at the end of the timeline that I know I want to use later. Probably bad practice but it works for me.

Would it be fair to say that Avid Editors do not much like using the mouse?
For speed reasons or whatever.
