I don’t know what a real time engine is? I have a couple of Mac Pro’s, and I run CS5 so with the new 64bit upgrade, I am now never out of memory which used to be a big challenge.I guess FCP isn’t opened up like CS5 yet. But I haven’t run into the out of memory alert yet.

Wow, exactly what I thought. But being new to FCP, I thought O this has got to have some value and if I overlook what ever that is I will be behind the curve when I get up to speed. But the more I learned about Motion the more I kept findin myself say, I can do that in AE, and That and That. I may be pushing the envelope here when I say this but I am using Sorenson Squeeze instead of Compressor. I find it to be an easier program to work with and the files are very clean. I suppose I could even go with Encore instead of DVD Pro.
I just need to get back to shooting, so I can pick up them awards, $$$, Chicks and a better looking posse´ ;O)

Thanks you for the feedback, I already own AE and am kinda overwhelmed by the need to learn another program to get my stuff out to the market. The round tripping is an advantage but the trade off is daunting.
It seems kinda like if I had been using inDesign for years and all of the sudden I bought a program with “text edit” in it, as the graphics program. But because I don’t know why people would use Motion I was looking for some advantages and reason here. Thank you again for your reply.
