Thanks for the reply Brad. Now downloaded and updated successfully. Zoom does seem a lot better, maybe a little too slow! Simultaneous record is vital when shooting for money! It’s like a brand new camera!

Sorry if it was a bit confusing. Let me try again. I have edited 30 minutes of 2 camera footage using Multicam. There are approximately 50 cuts between cameras. The stationary B camera footage has too much noise. I need to add the Neat Video FX to just the B track footage. How is this best achieved?

Other than the zoom, which I really only use to frame the shots, and the lack of built in ND filters, the camera is awesome. I purchased a variable ND filter which works just fine. We used it as a third camera at a wedding reception recently and it was difficult to tell the footage apart from the 3 chip NX5’s we were also using. The size makes it great for traveling or run and gun. Great little camera!

There is a firmware upgrade due any day now for the NX70. Enhanced zoom control and selectable zoom speed is included in this. I have the camera and it is a problem. The following is the Sony web site link.

NX cam? Absolutely. We shoot with NX5U’s with HXR-FMU 128gb flash memory unit’s. SDHC cards also load up directly into Vegas 10 pro. No problem, as long as you got a fast PC!

    Glad I could help.

I get all my Vegas tips from this forum. I have been using Vegas since V4 and am now on V9a. Its amazing what you can find if you search the site. The Vegas manuals only give you a taste of whats possible. I also spend (too much) time just messing to see what I can get the software to do.

If you hold down the Ctrl key and select the video tracks (not audio tracks) you want to add to multicam by clicking on the track header on the left of the screen then go to Tools and click Create Multicam Track it will create the multicam video track but leave the audio tracks seperate and unaffected. I hope this helps.
