I’m just seeing this thread for the first time, so excuse me if my comment is a bit ‘after the event’.

I think you are partially missing the point here Dennis – Adobe Guy. The very reason this happened in the first place is because Adobe rip off the rest of the world. He was trying to get the software in the USA because you wanted to double the cost for European customers.

I’m an owner of CS5 Premier and Light Room 3. I’ve been a paid up Adobe customer for years but every time a new version of your software comes out I have to pay a premium to download it from my nearest server (Australia). Why? It’s the same software, in the same language, there is no localisation. This is why people will go to extraordinary lengths to try and purchase from the USA server.

A quick example using your newest product – LR4. It’s USD149 on the Adobe.com USA store. Currently the exchange rate with Australia is almost 1:1 therefore you’d expect LR4 to cost AU149. But for some reason Adobe want me to pay AU219!

Can you explain the cost increase please? If there is a valid reason I’ll stop my complaining. I have a feeling that there isn’t though, and that I’ll either get some stock reply that doesn’t answer the question or no answer at all…
