Yes, the problem is that you have multiple faces in the same place. See if you can reposition some of their verticies so that they don’t overlap, that should do the trick.

Yeah, I’ve tried with other apps and the problem vanished, WMP, DivX Player etc work fine. I really like MPC so I went to video preferences, changed rendering module to “Old” (?) and that did it. It’s really weird since I used to have the same problem in WMP and some other players. But hell, it works now ;P.

It’s not actually a ‘work’ problem, just a playback glitch that occurred a long time ago and I didn’t really put too much thought into it. I thought it was a codec problem but every time I install a new one everything stays the same (default settings). It’s kind of annoying because practically all DivX/Xvid files have messed up brightness. I know I could correct this in the codec’s settings but shouldn’t it be ok when freshly installed? I mean, what is the point in releasing video codecs that ‘distort’ your video files?
MPC is actually a quite good player. It’s fast, reliable, opens most file types (video/image) and, from what I know, is still being developed. I’ll try with some other player when I get back from work but I remember myself trying out a few of them a while back and everything was the same… Didn’t try VLC though, I’ll check that out later today :].

Well, if you’re aiming for internet then DivX (7, not 8!) could be a nice choice. The quality is kind of ok and file size goes down rapidly. If you want better quality then H264 would be an obvious choice, just lower the bitrate…
Nonetheless if you want high resolution (1080p) AND good video quality then your stuck with big files. No way around that (yet ;P).
