My suggestion is to check the wires themselves. Wires could be crossed or bad connectors. It just wouldn’t make sense that the 50ft ones work fine.

I just thought I’d chime in. I’m pretty new to the scene, and met most of you at NAB ’09. Anyway, I have done a few installs with Active units and not only have the installs gone smooth but i have to be very honest. We haven’t had any trouble calls to come back and fix anything. (I lied 1 call to figure out where the power button was.)

My only advice is this and I’m sure Bob, Chris, and Mark can all attest (because I’m not familiar with Proavio) Although, solutions are less expensive, you honestly have to ask yourself this question, will my budget allot to have techs come and fix problems that the occurred while using the “budget gear”.

Again, I’m not familiar with Proavio, so I’m not directly referring to it. But, I will definitely give Active X-Raid a thumbs up.
