    Thanks Alex

“Yes as long as whatever is on the timeline, is the signal that BMD Intensity Pro supports.”

This may be dumb, but should I be looking under “SD/HD Format Support” on their spec sheet?

    “HD Format Support:
    1080i50, 1080i59.94, 1080i60, 1080p23.98, 1080p24, 1080p25, 1080p29.97, 1080p30, 720p50, 720p59.94 and 720p60.”

So If my timeline has 1080p29.97 footage, I’ll be all set? Or is there a different list of supported signals I should be looking for?

    Thanks again,

I guess to answer your question, it would be used just for video playback. What I want is to scrub the timeline, and for whatever I see in my Program window, to also be seen full screen in my new monitor. Mainly for clients to see better than looking over my shoulder.

Could a blackmagic product be used for this, or maybe something else? Or am I going about this wrong?

    Thanks Rafael,

That’s what I figured, however I tried my method and the HD footage seemed ok going from 720×480 anamorphic, then back to 1920×1080. Granted I Didnt export and test it on a large monitor. So would you or anyone else have any suggestions for a better workflow?

Should I take all of the DV Sequences and move them into a 1920×1080 sequence at this stage? That way I will be adding and editing the HD footage natively and not losing anything?

That’s it, just change the compression of the sequence to ProRes 422? I wont run into any problems being that the footage was captured using DV/DVC Pro NTSC?

    Awesome, almost sounds too simple.

So are you saying going to a ProRes sequence would be pointless, I should just work in a DVCPRO sequence?
