  • Resolve, FCP. Adobe PPro, Smoke, Avid. All installed and all work with no conflicts. As far as Color goes, why do you care? Isn’t that’s what Resolve is for?

No need for Automatic Duck. AAF work just like described in the manual and, yes, it’s only one layer timeline. No biggie, majority of color grading solutions with few exceptions (FilmMaster, Baselight) do it the same way. And, yes, you can load an offline QT copy for side by side verification playback.

I am afraid Mike M. himself is a bit behind times. Beside EDL, Resolve supports AAF, even if it’s just a single layer timeline. I would say it’s a bit premature to cast Resolve aside, as it’s not out yet…

    Wrong on both accounts…
According to Peter Chamberlain from BM, both interfaces will be supported.
And according to Chris Rose from Tangent:
“The initial release of Resolve will only support Wave. Black Magic are still putting together the interface that will allow other external panels access. We will of course supply support for the CP200 panels as soon as this happens. We do not have any dates from Black Magic when this is likely to happen.”
