Well, I saved the file as CC (12), and opened it up with CC and am still getting the same error messages.

Looks like I’ll have to contact Adobe technical support.

In fact I’ve installed AE versions going back to CS6, and am still getting the same error messages.

I just tried installing the previous version of After Effects, and I’m getting the same results.

But in the handbook, on page 43, you’ll see the controls I’m talking about, the circle on the far left of the display, that indicates “shutter speed” I’ve set mine so that it reads 1″, whatever that might mean.

I too always thought that shutter speed referred to the 29.97 fps that I normally shoot in. Maybe it’s a control for the still photography function of the camera?

Actually I’m using a Nikon D5300. Sorry for the confusion.

I’m using the manual setting now, With an aperture setting of a f6.3, and a Shutter speed setting of 1″.

I’m shooting a closeup of a white piece of plastic, with a light shining directly on it. I have the plastic subject on a lazy susan.

When I turn the lazy susan, when the plastic is parallel to the lens, it looks like there might be some light reflecting off of it into the lens?

I say this because I’m still getting the color and brightness variations. I try to fix them in post, but boy is it a bear!

That’s definitely my attitude.

I don’t think I explained it very well earlier, but the problem I’m having now is that I have two bosses. One boss wants me to bring new flare to the projects, the other wants to micromanage with poor design sense. So I have two competing standards, of what I’m being told. The boss with the poor design sense is the one on top, so I’m inclined to do what he’s told. But I don’t want to disappoint the 2nd in command, who expressly told me several times that they want to depend on my knowledge to bring them to a new level.

I’d like to get them into a room together and have them reconcile their positions into something more coherent so we’re all on the same page.

No, I wouldn’t say anything bad about a previous employer spontaneously.

But if I show that future employer my portfolio, and then he finds the YouTube channel of the company I worked at, he might ask me why they didn’t use the videos in my portfolio. Not sure how to answer that one.

It’s pretty frustrating too, because, they have about 10 videos uploaded, and when I was hired I’ve been repeatedly told that I was brought on board to bring a greater gravitas or flare to the videos. But the direction I’m now receiving is pointing me backwards to the pedestrian videos with poor design work that they already have up.

So it’s a bit confusing as well.

I tried as you’ve suggested, and all that seems to happen is a “loop region” is created in the timeline. None of the points end up getting selected.
