Thanks for the link Steve. I down loaded the trial version, and ran a FCS Housekeeper, but my issue still stands and now i get a multi colored Mac Load icon before i have to Force quit FCP manually. Are there any other scans i should run, and if so can you please name them for me? Thanks again.

Converted QuickTime movie clips (.mov file extensions) from an HDR-SR7 HD handycam thats hooked directly to the computer Via 9-Pin 800 Firewire.

After deleting the Thumbnail and Waveform Ceatches when it hits one of those spots where i’d get a crash its not gives me the multi color Mac loading icon and i have to Command Option ESC to force quite FCP due to FCP becoming non-responsive.

Very true which is why I had already started taking the HD footage and re-laying those to the SD master, since I was 90% sure there was no other way to do so. I just wanted to make absolutly sure there wasn’t another way I did not know about incase this issue reacures at a later time.

Yah as much as i didn’t want to hear i “couldn’t actually just make the SD clips HD ones and have the same crisp 16:9 as the other video’s I’ve done.” I knew this was going to happen had braced my self for the worst and had already started from scratch re-use the HD clips instead. =(

Well about the only thing i can do to keep it from being a upgraded SD copy is to start over from scratch and just use the HD clips… why this guy who edited it in the first place down graded HD to SD is beyond me, just make my job that much harder.
