In Bridge:

Preferences > Startup Scripts

Make sure Adobe After Effects CS4 is checked.

Click OK.

Close Bridge and After Effects (don’t forget to SAVE in AE! 🙂

Restart both.

Should work fine, if not that’s all I’ve got for ya.
