hi guys back again with the same problem,

footage shot with sony fx1 in 1080i vegas set to HD 1080i, then rendered to 720p. VERY VERY noticeable horizontal lines, looks the same as the original problem in this thread.

any ideas? really appreciate the input.

Issue appears to have been solved with some simply project setting adjustments. Thanks to John for assessing the issue and suggesting alternatives.

hi john,

thanks for taking the time to respond.

the reason why i set the project setting to 720p is because when i originally set the project to 1080 50i it seemed to come out as 1080 25i just below the preview screen. im not referring to the preview itself but rather the second option down which says project. this made me think that the horizontal bars were due to the low frame interlace??

I will look up how to de-interlace – blend fields and hope this improves the quality.

John i noticed after doing a search that you have help others with similar horizontal bar issues, i would really like to thank-you for helping those less tech savvy and learning at a slower pace.
