Hey mate, sorry about the delay in reply to this. was away over the weekend with work and didnt get a chance to get back to this.
Yeah basically didnt check his sequence settings or something but he has grabbed the REDproxies and imported them to final cut and obviously hasnt clicked yes to the dialogue box where it says “do you wish to change sequence settings to match clip settings” (or close enough to what it says)
Anyway he has started editing the RED proxies in the DV pal setting yes.
However, I tried doing what you said to do but when i copy and past it, the audio goes out of sync and the cuts are spaced out and weird.
I assumed this would happen because the footage and the correct sequence setting are ment to 24 FPS but his sequence is 25FPS?
Have any futher idea why FCP is being a jerk? hhaha
Anyway thank you for your help.

The sequence settings he gave me are DV pal CCIR 601 (5:4) 720×576.

Oh believe me I have told him this already.
I have edited my own commercials and music videos on RED before, but where I stuffed up was not asking if the director knew what he was doing.
Anyway what’s done is done… just need to move forward or i will get bogged down with the negatives. Do you happen to have any suggestions on how i could fix this?
