Are you copying from another place in that same document or from another doc? What version of InDesign?
If you do a search in your help menu on “clipboard preferences” or “paste with formatting” or “pasting text attributes” you will probably find what you need.

You mean internal linking to another part of the doc?
I know you can do external links in InDesign, probably can do internal too, but I have had much better luck with internal links on the editable pdf’s after exporting from InDesign.
The only problem I sometimes have in Acrobat with internal or external linking is for some reason, I would create the link, would not work…I’d delete that link completely and create another and the second time it would work like a charm. This is not as time consuming as it sounds and was much easier for me than creating links with InDesign.

I think you need to ask the print shop what specifications they want. Different shops want different formats and settings. They should have like a spec sheet for submissions.
Keep calling and someone there will know. You may need a tech person instead of the salesperson to help. they are probably used to doing this for new customers.

Again, not related to business, sorry, but late last Tuesday night I was accousted by three men in a parking lot and got away unharmed, just quite scared. Thursday night I posted my frustrations about being “surrounded” by men on here. I just put it together when I read Joe’s reply and I was also called for details again earlier today… Coincidence, probably not.
I think the topic is a valid point in general, but completely pointless to post about in a mostly male forum or anywhere, really.

They said the clipping paths were missing from the files they sent me after I had inquired, did not know why, and resaved with the paths. Sorry, don’t know how. I know an eps usually had a reddish icon in the folder list and this one had purple instead when it was wrong, if anyone knows what that means.
FYI, it was confusing because the “white boxes” were not all around in a big shape like you would think if a clipping path was gone. It was a smaller white box more to one side like this white box effect illustration on that link.

Well, Walter, since this is an internet forum and I’ve never met the man or even spoken with him, I think it would be implied that I do not know his marriage status or chemical pathology. I’m an intuitive Pisces, but not exactly psychic.
I do think you are being overly zealous in repremanding me multiple times. You got to list your accomplishments here for the 900th time and said you were through with the thread but keep coming back to put me in my place.
Consider me in my place. I was wrong to start the topic and there is nothing strange and there are no changes that need to be made by either of the sexes in the world of production between the status of men and women.
Now I’m GPU card shopping so you are all welcome to carry on without me on the topic.

For the record, I feel that not one or two, but THREE messages were posted with some relevance, but also a definite air of attack by one poster. I’m a little surprised I’m seen as starting a personal attack when I sent very short replies with bite IN REPLY, obviously as a joke. My sense of humor has gotten me in trouble before and I’m sure it will again but it won’t be here.
But what I did gain was a better understanding of why women avoid situations where they are greatly outnumbered.
