    Dear users of InDesign,

I have a strange problem and I need your urgent help.

When I cut/copy and then paste, the item I am copying does not constrain the dimensions it had before copying. It becomes really huge.

Is it a setting? the strange thing about it is that doesn’t happen all the time.

I would appreciate your help a lot.
    Thank you in advance,
    Alexis Kyprianou

Are you copying from another place in that same document or from another doc? What version of InDesign?

If you do a search in your help menu on “clipboard preferences” or “paste with formatting” or “pasting text attributes” you will probably find what you need.

I am copying from the same document. I’s a CS2 version and it happens whatever I copy, images, text etc. The help menu doesn’t have any results under the phrases you mentioned. I am just copy-pasting. As I said before. the strange thing is that it doesn’t happen all the time.

Thank you for your time anyway
