Then what about changing colors? Or fonts? Would it make any sense to do that or is there no way around it?

Hey Tero, thank you so much for helping me out with this. I am definitely going to research the subsampling issue into more detail but in the meantime is there an easy fix for that in Premiere/Encoder so I can get this done asap since it’s already so late?

I tried that too and it looked great but once I re-import the tiff sequence back into premiere and try to export as a video file – in any codec/compression – it looks the same again

I was wondering the same thing! I can’t believe someone hasn’t come up with a solution to this yet

Hey Blaise, as I said I know how to do it in Premiere. However, once the proxy files have been created – those play in their native frame rate, NOT the frame rate you specify in PP. I asked on the Premiere forums and I was told that Premiere doesn’t support changing the frame rate for proxy clips. That’s why I’m trying to conform my footage OUTSIDE of Premiere so that once I import it in PP I can create the proxies with the NEW frame rate.

I just had the same problem on a shoot yesterday. It was a wedding and the venue had all these pink lights around the room that were causing insane banding and light flickering…. It was terrible. I played around with the shutter and the ISO and aperture but nothing fixed it. Anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

  • I’m having the exact same problem here. Has anyone been able to find a solution to this?

I can change the font in my bins but when I select the Composer window and go to Edit=>Set Font… nothing happens. It’s not affected by it at all.

    I’m starting to lose hope here… 🙁

I’m not sure how that represents a speed-up motion effect…
Re-sizing the composer window doesn’t affect the size of those little black boxes.
Try some user settings? I’ve played with the Bin, Composer, and Interface settings. Nothing. Any other ones I should try??

Yep, I got the same issue. In fact, doing pretty much ANYTHING in PrPro seems to be causing a lag. Found a bunch of threads online about people complaining with the same issue but apparently no one can figure out why it’s doing that. I guess Abode doesn’t really care either. PrPro CC2014 is clearly a joke. Thanks for wasting our time, Adobe!
