would you please expand a bit on

My clips are coming in a long lengths as the camera keeps running through the interview. I usually get 2 angles, which I sync into a compound clip, and then break things down via keywords and favorites. I’m still trying to find which method works best for me. But of course, everything still has the compound clips’ name, even though Ideally (or previously in FCP7) I would have broken the thing down into sub clips and renamed each, for ease of navigation once things are cut in the timeline.
Just curious as to how you break down those sub clips, and do you have to then sync each broken clip individually?
