I’m sorry – of course, I could use the mixer to route the AES/EBU Inputs to the SDI out of the BLUE 328 to get the audio into the DeckLink – you were absolutely right, Ty. Thanks again. I’m going to contact Keith Knudsen at Renegade Labs to get some more details.

    Regards,

    Hello Ty!

Thank you for your response. Forgive me if I should get this wrong but the BLUE328 seems to be an audio mixer only, not an audio interface. I downloaded the brochure and checked the website but I could’nt find any info about connecting the BLUE 328 to a computer…

    Regards,
    Ingrid

    Hi Michael,

and thanks for your tip. The MOTU V3HD looks like a great device but it seems to be an “overkill” for me…

    HI Jeremy!

It maybe sound strange but I don’t like the Kona cards, my experience with DeckLink cards is far superior compared to Kona cards. But that’s another story,
Has somebody ever used ADAT Lightpipe (aka ADAT optical) with an audio interface equipped with an ADAT optical port? For this to work with a Tascam DA-98 you need a TDIF to ADAT converter (like the Tascam IF-TAD). The converter outputs ADAT optical and this signal can connect to an interface like the Alesis io14, for example…

    Hi Jeremy!

I’m using a Blackmagic DeckLink HD Extreme PCIe. I currently slave audio from my DA-98 through a DVW-A500P via AES/EBU to get at least 4 channels at a time into FCP via the DeckLink cards SDI. This means a two-pass recording process for an 8 track tape. Thats why I’m asking for some advice. An audio interface featuring 8 AES/EBU inputs or something that accepts TDIF.

    Hi Paul!

Thanks for your recommendation. I would prefer to buy an Interface with 8 AES/EBU inputs.
