Any idea of solo gtx285 or 4800 performance? By the way, I saw your Cyc video on Vimeo yesterday. Great work. I don’t think many people can pull off lens flares like that. You use Knoll and the Copilot flares?

Thanks for the heads up. 22″ is a perfect size. Large monitors take up too much room and emit too much light. My eyes are focused on the scopes and broadcast monitor most of the time so a large computer screen is useless to me.

I’m running 2 NVIDIA cards on my 2008 with no FCP or Color issues. I’ve been pushing both cards pretty hard everyday to see what’ll happen and so far there hasn’t been any problems besides the GT 120’s slower performance in FCP/Color. Running Color with UI playback turned off, 3D Color Space display turned off, and monochrome scopes compensates a bit if you’re using the GT 120.

I’m installing a GTX 285 tomorrow then doing some tests with SwitchResX and posting the results next week.

Yeah, the 1920×1080 seems a bit overkill considering it’s just the interface. Color works perfect on a couple Dell 2007wfp’s with the height adjustment and angle set just below your eye level.
