July 23, 2014 at 4:41 am in reply to: Is there a way to open multiple instances of AE on Windows?Mr. Perdiago is on to it but you only need modify the existing shortcut as he describes, i.e. find existing AE shortcut and add -m AFTER the ” like so:
“C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS5\Support Files\AfterFX.exe” -m
To answer the why of it; I created a couple of variations of a project and, sigh, didn’t doc what they were. I needed to compare them to find out and Inet search didn’t find any tools for doing so so I needed to open them up and inspect manually.

Yes, I spent the weekend banging around Blu-Ray and you are 100+% right on. Purchased PowerDvD (after carefully comparing it and ArcSoft) and discovered my cheapie approach was fraught with more pitfalls than I should have wasted time on. Thank you for the response; there was some unexpected outcomes in the process such as leaning of Adobe’s bailing of Encore and the increased realization that streaming doesn’t really care about menus…yet.

Nevermind. Workflow/device problem. Wish I could delete!!

@Crye Shows to go even though the Inet is filled with old and largely useless info, archives can be useful and important as your post solved exactly the same problem. Given the time span, it really does again offer support for the disconcerting question: does SCS really support product? Listen to customers? Anyway, thanks for your efforts on determining a true resolution to the problem.

October 24, 2013 at 5:11 am in reply to: Rotate camera 180 degrees in AE without problem! One of those cases where a rather old post comes through with sound advice (used the “Second” paragraph; worked perfectly–thanks “Ted”!)

You know, you search the Inet and all too many times you get outdated useless stuff. However, sometimes you hit paydirt in posts that may be old but are still good. Couldn’t believe the difference this simple method made in some pretty badly underexposed material. Followed it with a little remove noise and some tweaks to get a reasonable result. Thanks for the tip, Chad!

Need some guidance on how to use that Media Encoder .dpx support. Render a short (14 min) clip out of SG using .dpx which, of course, created a gadzillion files. Media Encoder seems to be able to digest these a hundred or so at a time but just dies if one selects them all. Despite diligent searching, I can’t seem to find any info on this issue. Not real thrilled to sit here loading groups of .dpx up; started down that road and gave up when I saw the miserable movement of the progress bar!

March 9, 2012 at 6:47 am in reply to: Premier Pro, After Effects, Color Correction WYSIWYG NOTSA does not provide plug in for PPro. Also, task manager showed no use of PPro when using AME with AE. Decided to completely un/re install. Fixed problem!

March 9, 2012 at 3:02 am in reply to: Premier Pro, After Effects, Color Correction WYSIWYG NOTDirectory search shows SA only for AE. Cannot find detailed plugin list for MC 5.5. Have e-mailed SA to find out if supplier of MC 5.5 should also have provided some other serial.
