Hey Steve,
I am working mainly with AppleProRes (LT) but it also happened when I was working with regular NTSC DV footage. I have had the problems with all my HD they are all 1TB and up and some are connected with FW 400 and other with FW 800, I am not so sure that the problem is the actual drive, maybe there is something I am missing in the FCP settings that might have caused the problem. I totally agree, I know a little bit of after effects, but I would really enjoy a lot more if you could have the same or very similar Tutorials for Motion, I like Motion much better then after effects, even if it doesn’t support 3D like After effects YET.
Please try to give us (Motion Lovers)some video tutorials of cool stuff.

I am running FCP 5, and I have 20 GB free on my hard drive and 140 GB on the scratch disk, How do I open the last autosave????
