    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I’ve been using an 80.00Hz sine file to test this. I understand that LF is meant to be drawn from the other files, but we’re trying to create a file that can test surround speakers one at a time.

    thanks

    Hi Paul

Many thanks for your thoughts – very helpful. We’re actually going to be editing the pieces on an Axio system, with its own proprietary project settings for HD, sucking in through HDSDI, so the material won’t be sitting together natively.

    thanks

I’d guessed that proxy files would be the way to go. I haven’t really had much experience using them – I’ll brush up! I’m wondering though about AFX being able to handle the HDCam files, and whether the work flow I’m thinking of would actually work. At the end of the day, the shot list will be very minimal and there’ll be very little ‘editing’ to do.
    cheers

    thanks for the reply.
I’ve looked into eDVD ad basically the program I’m making is running on security sensitive laptops, so we can’t have it rying to install interactuall player.

I understood that somehow you could create a file that contained a hyperlink that we could put in the DVDRom folder in encore

Yes, I have looked into eDVD. The only problem seems to be that it installs the interactual DVD player and I can’t seem to find out if 1) there’s an option to turn the installation off (ie for it not to be there on your DVD) and 2) whether the links will work without interactuall player.

The issue that I have is that for the program we are creating, the clients laptops are very security sensitive and so can’t have programs installed on them.

    Thanks Joe for the reply
Unfortunately, as great as some of the new features sound, all I really need is the ability to create links to other data etc…

    Sorry…

In Encore 1.5 you can create a DVD with additional data files, which can be seen when the disc is in a pc, but all you can do is burn them on the disc. You can’t link frmo a menu to a file – so my question was, is there any feature for linking from menus to additional data content on pc’s?

    I hope that makes sense
