Yes … runs under XPx64 successfully.
Had the same issues as you until we took the RAM down to 2GB (we had been running 4GB).
Have moved over to Vista64 with Quadcores – had to go and buy PCIe Decklink HD Extremes’s to get SDI/HD out as the original SD card wouldn’t work under Vista – forget the reason why though.
Since then Blackmagic have released a cheaper card – the Decklink Studio – which seems to do much the same as the HD Extreme.
BTW – XPx64 is a better OS than Vista with all its bloatware/useless features.Good Luck

Hi Stefan,
The only way the PCI card works with Vista64 or XPx64 is to reduce your RAM to 2GB.
You will need to upgrade to a PCIexpress Decklink card to use more ram.Hope this helps

Just had some advice from another forum that I posted the question on ….. tried it and it now works.
Basically the only decklink card to work with more than 2GB RAM is the PCIe card, not the PCI or PCIx cards.
Thanx

Thanks Callum,
We have been using Decklink cards since they first came out and are very familiar with them and understand your response(we have 6 decklink cards) – unfortunately it is not as basic as your suggestion. Do you have experience with Vista 64bit?Seeing that you are a technical support consultant for Blackmagic can you answer these basic questions –
Do Decklink standard cards run correctly under VistaUltimate(64bit)?
Do NvidiaQuadroFX1700 cards and drivers upset the card ?
How is Blackmagic able to get around the Microsoft WDDM graphics driver conflict(as stated on their website) where they state that Vista64 can only use one graphics driver – which in theory doesn’t allow for the BM driver. This is what we appear to be experiencing.
Is anyone out there running standard Decklink cards with a 64bit PC and Vista64?
Thanks kindly.

November 20, 2007 at 7:14 am in reply to: Decklink HD, XP64bit and more than 2GB of memory problemHad exactly the same problems with XP_x64.
Blackmagic told us to reduce our memory to 2GB – which we did and it worked.
Have been hoping that the new series of drivers – 6.6.xx will fix this.
Have been running decklinks with Sony Vegas so there are other issues with the driver and compatibility, so haven’t been able to take the memory back up to 4GB to find out whether this now works. You are not alone!!!

Also are running VP8a on XPx64.
Have a Decklink card and have been using it with V7 successfully.
Installed BMD6.6_x64 but VP8a wont see the card – only sees ‘AJA/win-sec-disp/ieee’)Can’t work out what file should be where for VP8 to recognize the card.
We are stuck between a rock and a hard place currently as I don’t know whether to turn to SCS or BMD(!) -
We run Vegas 7.0 (&8) on XPx64. To get it running on 64bitOS we had to pull 2GB of RAM out – originally it had 4GB RAM. We were told to do this by BMD as we use a decklink card with it, and there was some sort of hardware conflict of the DL card with the RAM address (I think).

Does any version of decklink drivers work with Vegas8 Pro? – (still working in 8-bit until the new driver is released)
Anyone have any info on it?
When will the new drivers for V8Pro be released(presuming 10-bit captures???).
Are we able to use decklink currently with V8Pro before the new drivers are released.
There seems to be very little info on this.Cheers
