So how, exactly does this work? I see the instructions on how to get the device into this mode but is it really just plug and play or is there some sort of connection process I have to initiate on the computer?

I am feeding the output of Final Cut Pro to a Kona LHe. The AES output of the LHE is fed to a Behringer Ultramatch Pro that allows me to convert it to S/PDIF so I can use it with a conventional Yamaha AV Receiver and I am monitoring it through that.

DV isn’t great but I have seen great stuff come of it. Can you fill me in on a technical reason for the CMOS sensors performing worse when recording to the DV codec?

Smartest thing I have heard. Just genius actually. The only issue is how does the media get shared? If one disk image is used per media compost station we might as well be back to square one. No?

Any change today? Any way to get MC6 working with Xsan 2.3?

The bag doesn’t fit the required dimensions so I am surprised. I would hate to go to the airport and find this isn’t true so is there some place I can see this in writing?

I just don’t think we’re talking the difference that’ll be present between these two types of cameras but I guess I have no choice.
