wow.. that worked! so obvious, can’t believe I’m such an idiot, duh!

yes, I’ve been duplicating and renaming the project files as i go along so i can always go backwards if i need to, because in FCPX you can’t seem to have multiple sequences or save each project stage as you go along [ie. in FCP7 i would name my project 1a, 1b, 1c, etc as the editing process proceeds]

re: the second thing, the project files wouldn’t even show up in the project window. does now though.

Hi there..

Has anyone found an answer to this problem of the preview window playing darker than the clips actually are?

FCP never used to do this, I cant figure out what is causing it, Im on a MBPro, ive tried the monitor fix mentioned above but that doesnt work for me..

hiya.

this thread is very useful! however i hav a query..

ive shot 3 video tracks on 5d of a band lip syncing to a music track, i want to edit the footage and then sync it to the music track.. i understand i need to convert the video to use it in final cut, but would you recommend also converting to 29.97 fps now, or should i edit at 30 fps and then convert either before or after ive synced the track? which would be the best method to avoid sync problems?
