I was able to get it to work by adding another layer and designating it as “background”, as the other post mentioned, but I still don’t know what the heck “background” means or does, so knowing how to do it and not knowing why is really annoying.
Also, I was unable to get that after market alpha matte plug-in to work properly.
Can you please tell me an easier way?
I have one matte layer animation (black and white), and one clip animation with an alpha channel transparency background. The clip with alpha should just sit on a top layer by itself, but incorporating that matte into the lower layer is the hard part. No Track Matte feature like After Effects. There’s got to be an easier way.
