You only need the SxS Device Driver if you are using the built-in E-card slot on a laptop. Are you reading the Pro+ card in the older US10 reader?

If you renamed your folders you can recover the files easily–
Transfer can read a folder with just the .mp4s as an archive. copy/move your .mp4s to a new folder, –>Add Source.
To properly rebuild the BPAVs with new metadata, use Browser to manually import the files to a new location (I have documented this in several threads; please do a search if you run into issues..)

again, all of them should be PSF, all FS700 ‘p’ formats are PSF

You currently need to use Resolve or Express Dailies or another system that can take the 4k XAVC and create 1920 Pro Res files. No 4k support in FCP 7, and Browser does not re-wrap XAVC to .mov

they are the same on any Sony camera. PSF = progressive segmented frames. it’s a progressive frame that is split for transport purposes.

just to clarify:
We can import and transcode Sony MXF files into FCP 7 with both Log&Transfer and XDCAM plug-in. But we have to connect Sony XDCAM camcorder to Mac for rendering video. And as far as I know XDCAM plug-in doesn’t support SD MXF video.
FCP 7 and X can render out to any XDCAM format using Content Browser (7 or X) or XDCAM Transfer (7 only).
Neither Log and Transfer nor the Sony plugins transcode XDCAM. They only rewrap to the native codec in a QT wrapper.
FCP X can native support MXF files without any plugin.
FCP X will not take XDCAM files without the Sony Import from Camera plugin (works within FCP, no separate UI) or Sony Content Browser (separate app that runs as a plugin)

you can import files from the PMW320/350 using a free plugin from Sony. FCP does not take AVIs or MXFs natively but our Content Browser or XDCAM Transfer plugins will re-wrap to .mov upon import

Are you sure it’s a BRC-H700? That’s a pan/tilt robotic camera..
Log and Transfer/AMA require the card’s directories to be intact– make sure nothing in the AVCHD folder or below has been renamed or modified.
Media Composer 5 and up can also do manual File–>Import of .mts files but Avid will force a transcode to DNX during import.
