I am nowhere near my camera at the moment so I am unable to check and be precise. However, I think you might want to check the playback menu setting for the audio channels, that is, in VCR mode open the menu and “browse” to that option in which your channels are mixed before (or upon) playback. This seems to have been the default setting of my DVX100BE and it gave me quite a fright. In the end, it turned out that both microphone signals were recorded properly on tape, as indeed the level meters had indicated, but that I was misled by that playback mixdown setting you will want to find yourself.

    Best Regards, Huib J. Lirb

I am sorry, but I cannot find your example at the linked location; you may have already removed it before I checked it out (since I have not visited the forum this weekend). So could you please “reload” your reference, so to speak?

Oops. I have to correct myself: please ignore the previous post. The separate caps and bevel materials did not, at first, seem to show on the sweep nurbs because they were set at the wrong end. And that was the case because I thoughtlessly filled in “C1” and “R1” in the selection line of the material tag. After I changed that into “C2” and “R2”, however, I did get the desired result. So, in other words, “Bear” was right, but please make sure you check at the right end!

P.S. Of course, you might also like to be able to separately colour the various strands or rows of the “sweeping sides” of the sweep nurbs object, but I have no idea how to do this without first making the object editable. For a playful loop involving sweep nurbs objects, see this movie. This only serves to illustrate the kind of sweep nurbs object I had in mind. (I am presently rendering a sketch & toon version with separate caps en bevel materials, but since my previous Sketch and Toon movies did not compress well into Mp4, I thought it best to just refer to this old movie with singular materials; I tend to post my WIP on my weblog at https://luepp.blogspot.com).

The sweep nurbs object does not appear to behave itself in the same way, though. I did not succeed in applying materials separately onto the C1 and R1 selections (the cap and bevel) of such an object whereas I did manage to do so with an extrude object (following the method indicated). Perhaps it’s not that simple, then?
