Hi,
Let me start by saying that I am not a professional, I merely installed Resolve Lite for learning purposes, and would not be able to answer any technical questions. I came across this database problem when first launching Resolve. I found the same solution on several threads involving the use of Terminal. As Daan Hermans said, some of us may not know how to use terminal. His solution worked for me. Here is what I did.
1. Rename the folder “/Library/PostgreSQL” to “/Library/PostgreSQL.bad”
2. Reinstall Resolve (There is NO need to uninstall first)
3. Relaunch Resolve and it should now work.
Again, this solution worked for me, without the need to run commands in Terminal (for those of us who are unfamiliar). Thanks Daan.
By the way I am on a 2012 Non-retina MacBook Pro 15 High-Res
