    Thanks Jon,

    That was very helpful. The mapping on the outside if the object just seems to take a lot of trial and error to get it right.

    I created an oversized precomp with my footage and maunipulated it until I finally got it to work. I didn’t want to reduce the size of the footage, so going with a larger precomp for the layer map was crucial.

    Thanks for the info John. I found the issue was simply that I had my AE light’s shadow diffusion set to “0”. Increasing it slightly solved the issue. Now I’ll pump up the shadow quality in User Prefs.

    Just a shot in the dark here, but isn’t the Media 100 HD only approved for 2 GBs of RAM? Could your issues be related to your RAM? You indicated that you were using 4 GBs.
