According to specifications it will not run.

That’s why I’m going to buy PowerBook.

Even the text without any effects, white on black – will give me 6-7 fps. I don’t think that’s very fast.

    Ok, lets try.

    Project:
    1024×576, 10 seconds, 25 fps, antialiasing: high

you have a textfield with following text:

“Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean tempus. Morbi ipsum arcu, condimentum vitae, ultricies et, imperdiet non, dui. In ante. Ut ut turpis. Ut accumsan accumsan neque. In quis lacus ac orci rhoncus consectetuer. Aenean in arcu sed mi suscipit tincidunt. Maecenas nec diam. Integer dapibus aliquam turpis. Integer orci. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Duis sagittis arcu vel massa. Cras consequat, ligula nec blandit porta, pede risus adipiscing erat, non porta purus dui vitae nisl. Pellentesque eget risus quis felis venenatis blandit. Proin scelerisque, mi vel tempor placerat, urna quam congue mi, in vehicula purus justo eu pede. Praesent dignissim congue urna. In congue rutrum mauris.”

    Geneva, 18pt.

Put a filter on it: Fade In From Left.

    Play. My speed – 1-2 fps 🙁

I noticed that after upgrading to Tiger, QuickTime 7 and Motion 2 – everything works little bit slower. But with Motion 1 on Jaguar – text renders was also very slow for me.

Usually to Animation or MJPEG A (quality 100 or 75).
But there is no problem with rendering any graphics or video with lots of effects – only text typed in Motion.
