Thanks for the speedy reply. Both drives are 7200 rpm, have USB 2.0 and FW 400 ports. I have an older Mac and don’t think it is FW 800 compatible.

I have a Seagate 300GB FireWire Drive to back-up all of my media drives to. This drive came with back-up software. Do you suggest I use the drag and drop copying method or try this software?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am in the middle of three projects that are being incorporated into one DVD and have been unable to erase the drives.

Do you suggest I try and rebuild them using TechTool?

The reason I was keeping an OS 9 partition is beacause I only have OS 9 programs and applications and don’t have any OS X programs.

Is there any way to maintain these 2 partitions?

Addendum: The website is Intechusa.com … The driver they have avilable is Speedtools.

I was wondering if anyone is running a similar system to what Phil Balsdon posted, Mac G4 733, as well as these programs – Panther (OSX 10.3), iLife (with iDVD5), DVD Studio Pro and FCP version 4.5 (HD)?

Have you encountered any problems with this type of set-up?
