i actually get better results with 1080i so im thinking its a progressive interlace issue. if i film in progressive and my final output is dvd and or blu ray should i render my project as a progressive or interlaced mpeg? i dont use architect btw. i use nero and nero is not the issue.

the slo motion is very choppy studdering not smooth at all and im only going 50%. if i shoot and edit in progressive should i burn progressive i thought dvds were interlaced. i just dont see how using 720p with a 125 shutter which is optimal is producing such awful slo mo

  • Thank you very much. Perfect explanation. I appreciate it very much!!

  • Sorry its 1080 24p from a panny gh2 dslr and its 60fps 720p and the combined footage is about half of
    each type.

  • Will the difference in frame rate cause issues? I like some 24p and 780 for slow mo in post. Any answers?

Thank you for answering me. so making a blu ray in 1280 x 720 is not do able in vegas 12? I tried to do it by starting with the 1080p 24p template and changing the setting to 1280×720 and changing the framerate to 59.94 and I frames to 30 and I got error message.
Is it possible to do a blu ray from 720p if so with vegas 12 what would you suggest.

Yes mpeg2 does offer this but only if your rendering for 720×480 for dvd. I want a an hd master file from 720 p for maybe blu ray later
