WOW. But all of these people are saying that it works in V7. I can edit in V7 but I cannot render any HDV footage. It renders a few frames then freezes. Is this problem related?

I have the SAME PROBLEM!!

Vista 32 bit
quad core
vegas 8/7
Canon XHA1 footage

V7 will work for about 40 minutes then crash. V8 will load a project then crash.

The tech said they were having problems with the Canon XHA1 24f footage and that a build would be out in 2-5 months.

any ideas?
